Komet Culture and Arts Projects - Events
The "Museum Kit Project," which we have been developing since January 2018, began reaching its users, teachers, on various platforms as of June 2018. This project, which transforms the museum experience into lifelong learning by starting in the classroom, continuing in the museum, and ending in the classroom, focuses on museums located in different cities across Turkey in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education . In 2020, the project covered Topkapi Palace and Pera Museum in Istanbul, the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in Ankara, and the Şanlıurfa Archaeology Museum and Göbeklitepe in Şanlıurfa. In 2021, the scope of the project expanded with Teacher Kits and Visitor Kits prepared in Turkish and English for the Troy Museum and Archaeological Site . To date, the project has reached over 360,000 teachers and more than 10 million students through both face-to-face training and distance learning teacher training offered via the Ministry of National Education's EBA Platform .
October 2025, UNDP SENTRUM PROJECT - BIRGI AUDIO GUIDE

As Komet Culture and Arts Projects, we are participating in the second phase of the SENTRUM – Sustainable Energy-Based Tourism Application Center Project, initiated by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP Turkey) and implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), and Enerjisa Energy.
As Komet Culture and Art Projects, we are developing comprehensive content and tools to enhance the visitor experience in Birgi. We are creating educational and experience-oriented solutions that appeal to different age groups, including smart route-based audio guides, a visitor handbook that allows visitors to explore the region in a deeper and more meaningful way, and activity and experience books for children. These tools aim to contribute to visitors' better understanding of Birgi's cultural and natural heritage, while also making sustainable tourism practices visible.

Sebla Kut, founder of Komet Culture and Arts Projects, presented The Inspirers, a creative card game specially designed by Komet KSP, to participants at the Inspire Creative Summit, held within the framework of INSPIRE Turkey, one of Türkiye's most comprehensive platforms in the field of creative industries.
December 2024 - Museum Kit in Japan

Sebla Kut, co-founder of Komet Culture and Art Projects, gave a special presentation titled “An Innovative Educational Approach to Understanding Cultural Heritage: The Museum Kit Project” at the University of Shizuoka in Japan on December 6th.
The presentation was held as part of the events organized to commemorate the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Japan, serving as a meaningful academic gathering highlighting the deep-rooted friendship and cultural ties between the two countries. The Museum Kit Project was presented at the event. The Museum Kit Project's holistic and innovative approach to cultural heritage education was shared with the participants.
The presentation detailed this comprehensive system, which includes e-learning modules, virtual tours, interactive games, and educational materials. A Museum Kit, specially designed for Japan, was also introduced as part of the event. This kit showcased armor and other historical artifacts from the 19th century, housed in Topkapi Palace and gifted by Japan to the Ottoman Empire, highlighting the relationship between the two countries.
Diplomatic and cultural relations were discussed. Participants had the opportunity to become acquainted with a pedagogical framework that explained the historical context, purpose, and method of the gifting of these works.

The Museum Kit Project, nominated by the UNESCO National Committee of Türkiye, has been awarded the International Prize by the Fondazione Santagata, under the auspices of the UNESCO National Committee of Italy!

We participated in the Cultural Heritage Workshop for Children, organized by Koç University Vehbi Koç Ankara Research and Application Center on November 2-3, 2022, with our presentation titled 'An Example of an Innovative Educational Approach in Understanding Cultural Heritage: The Museum Kit Project'.

The launch of the Troy Museum Kits Project, realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, took place on October 22, 2021, in the Conference Hall of the Troy Museum, with the participation of press members, ministry and museum officials, and project stakeholders.

Within the scope of the Troy Museum Kits Project, which was realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 200 teachers received a total of 10 hours of training on October 16-17, 2021, consisting of 5 hours of theoretical and 5 hours of practical training. Teacher and student kits were given to the teachers who completed the training.

By the invitation of ICOM Turkey, Sebla Kut and Hüsne Nalbant, the co-founders of Komet, participated in the International Virtual Conference on Museums, organized by ICOM Pakistan and KUMID Turkey. They presented on ‘Rethinking the Museum Experience: The Museum Kit Project’ in the session series ‘Museum Education and E-Learning’, organized by ICOM Turkey and the MÜZEDER (Association of Museologs).

In an online symposium held in collaboration with the PETaL Erasmus Mundus Master Program and Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education, a presentation titled "The Impact of Museum Education on Empathy Development" was given to master program students. Following the presentation, a sample application was conducted using the content of the Museum Kit Project. At the end of the application, feedback was collected from the students regarding their experiences, and their questions were answered.
